Job Description

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC., an AmericanFoods Group Company, has an opportunity for a QA Technician at our AcmeStreet plant. As our QA Technician, you will: Perform daily rotationof tasks (temperatures, box tare weights, sampling, and grade changes). Review and accurately complete required paperwork (GMP checks, SSOPcorrective action log, and SOP corrective action log) and be heldaccountable for accuracy. Conduct pre-op/condensation/swabs. Monitor the implementation and compliance of all food safety and qualityprocedures on the floor, report deficiencies, take corrective action,and follow up. Perform visual line and finished product inspectionsto ensure conformance to specifications, and correct specificationdeficiencies. Use production specification reports to gather,measure, analyze, and record inspection data, such as weights,temperatures, grades, and quantities inspected or graded. Collectsamples to be sent to lab for analysis. Interact with USDA as needed. Interpret test results, compare them to established specificationsand control limits, investigate and take corrective action, makerecommendations on preventative measures, and document findings. Mustbe able to perform strength level 3 work. NOTE: this description isnot intended to be all-inclusive. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Required): Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to work in theUnited States without sponsorship. Must be able to work in a varietyof work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slipperysurfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts withthe use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Must be able toperform the job duties with or without reasonable accommodations. High school diploma or GED. Must be able to effectively communicatein English (speak, read, and write) - must be able to communicate withGovernment and other designated personnel, read specifications/labels,SOPs, SSOPs and HACCP, and be able to complete necessary writtendocumentation. Ability to work extended scheduled hours Mondaythrough Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime asrequired. Start times and hours vary based on production needs. Mustbe able to successfully complete training: Safety. Safe QualityFood (SQF). Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Hazard Analysisand Critical Control Point (HACCP). Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs). Food defense. Preferred Qualifications: Prior qualityassurance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork, or poultryfacility. Prior production experience. Degree in AgriculturalScience, Biology or Meat related science degree or equivalentexperience. Hands-on knowledge, training and/or experience in BasicMicrobiology, Basic Chemistry, Sanitation, and HACCP. Work history inthe last 12 months. Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish(speak, read, and write). Equal Opportunity Employer.
