Release Manager

Description The Technical Release Manager is responsible for defining, planning, coordinating, and delivering application releases across the organization. This role partners closely with both business and technology stakeholders to align business requests, enterprise technical direction, and organizational priorities, ensuring releases are delivered effectively and in support of strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience managing software releases within a structured SDLC environment. Experience working in Agile environmentsu2014and serving as an Agile Scrum Masteru2014is strongly preferred. As the owner of end-to-end release activities and associated SDLC artifacts, the Release Manager serves as the primary point of coordination and communication across cross-functional teams, including Business Process Owners, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance, Project Management Office, Infrastructure and Platform Services, Production Support, and other key partners. This individual will lead releases from initial planning through production implementation and post-release monitoring. The Release Manager will apply strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to track release progress, identify and resolve issues, validate completion of all release activities, and escalate risks as needed to ensure successful and timely delivery. u2022 Experience with ITSM Remedy and ServiceNow u2022 Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or related field with 10+ years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified above u2022 5+ years in a similar role, e.g. scrum master, release manager, program manager, Portfolio manager u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills u2022 Application Risk Management experience u2022 Proven success and accountability in leading and managing large scale application delivery u2022 Extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication u2022 The ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and subject matter experts within all levels of the company u2022 Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and management of metrics to measure and improve the quality of the releases u2022 Strong Leadership Skills to drive teams towards successful delivery of release plans and that motivates team to achieve and maintain quality in a creative and effective manner Skills Release Management Additional Skills & Qualifications u2022 Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 Foundation certification u2022 SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) Agilist (SA) u2022 Large Scale Scrum (LeSS) certification u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree or higher u2022 Agile Scrum knowledge or certification beneficial u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Workspace applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, and Teams Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, AZ.
