In addition, they may also conduct pre-delivery service on new vehicles to ensure optimal working order for customers as needed. AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, & testing Performs routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobs Repairs automobiles and light trucks as assigned Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations & standards Performing inventory stocking & other functions to maintain shop appearance. efficiency & safety standards Follows all shop policies, procedures, safety, & environmental rules Attends all staff meetings, training, & educational classes as required Performs other duties as assigned AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIANS RECEIVE Up to $25,000 SIGN-ON BONUS based on experience! AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS Must have a high school diploma or GED Must have previous Automotive Technician experience OR equivalent automotive training Must have broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge Unrestricted driver's license w/ clean driving record Ability to drive both automatic & standard transmission vehicles Excellent communication, customer service, & problem-solving skills w/ ability to keep composure under stress Must be highly professional/dependable Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, & lift up to 50 lbs. as needed 2+ years of dealer-level or large facility experience a PLUS but not required! ASE certification(or willing to obtain certification) a PLUS but not required! Virginia State Inspection License(or is willing to obtain license)a PLUS but not required!
