Receiving Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to support manufacturing operations in Hanford, California. This Contract position focuses on coordinating inbound materials, keeping inventory records current, and helping ensure products and supplies are available for production needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with shipping documentation, inventory systems, and quality and safety expectations in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Review incoming raw materials, packaging, and supply deliveries to confirm quantities, condition, and overall accuracy before acceptance u2022 Compare shipment information against purchase orders, packing documents, and freight records to ensure all items are properly matched u2022 Record receipts and inventory activity in computerized tracking systems with a high level of accuracy and timeliness u2022 Support scheduled cycle counts and larger physical inventory efforts to help maintain dependable stock records u2022 Investigate damaged items, shortages, and other inventory variances, then communicate issues to the appropriate team members for resolution u2022 Organize and maintain receiving documentation, transaction logs, and inventory files so records remain complete and audit-ready u2022 Provide day-to-day clerical assistance for warehouse and production teams, including administrative support related to material movement u2022 Follow food safety, quality, GMP, and workplace safety standards while keeping the receiving area orderly and clean Requirements u2022 Previous experience in a receiving, inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing support role u2022 Working knowledge of data entry and basic computer applications, including inventory platforms and Microsoft Office u2022 Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and related shipping paperwork u2022 Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records in a busy environment u2022 Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities throughout the workday u2022 Familiarity with inventory counting practices, including cycle counts and physical inventory procedures u2022 Understanding of safety, quality, and sanitation expectations within a manufacturing setting TalentMatchu00ae Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
