Electrical Engineer

Overview: We are currently hiring a hands on Engineer for a long term, multi year contract in Newport News, VA. This will be more of a hands on, in the field position compared to behind a desk in the office. Description: + Will be troubleshooting various equipment throughout property. + Hands on experience with maintenance and repair with large, industrial equipment. + Will be climbing large industrial equipment such as cranes and lifts. + Exposure to hydraulics and mechanical systems as well. + May do some CAD design work. + Experience working with and interfacing with electricians. Qualifications: + US Citizenship. + BS in Engineering. (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, etc.) + 5 years of relevant experience. + The company is looking for a mid-career person with field experience and good technical background , with engineering instruction and oversight for certifying and repairing cranes. + The ideal candidate will have experience and a desire to be in the field, climbing cranes getting involved and good at troubleshooting and interfacing with electricians. Additional Information: + Long term, multi year contract. + Pay Rate: $50-$60/hr based on experience. + Benefits offered. + 1 step interview process. + First shift, Monday-Friday.
