Description Summary: The main function of a Database Administrator is to provide database support on a variety of hardware and software platforms and peripherals. Job Responsibilities: u2022 Provide database and system on-site support u2022 Monitor, collect statistical information, and provide reporting on capacity and system performance u2022 Based on statistics, make recommendations to maintain and improve capacity and system performance u2022 Monitor the system, and act upon system and application automated alerts u2022 Perform diagnostics, testing, and troubleshooting of software, o/s, and database issues (ex. correcting installation, configuration, or data problems) u2022 Plan and perform software installation, configuration, upgrade and patching u2022 Plan and perform database configuration, maintenance, upgrade and patching u2022 Perform and manage system and database backups u2022 Perform manual switch to redundant system / database components, in case of system failure Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field preferred u2022 2 + years experience required, team center focused u2022 Experience in providing technical support, covering database administration and operations to include monitoring maintenance capacity, performance monitoring/planning and incident/problem troubleshooting and resolution u2022 Strong knowledge of SQL u2022 Understanding of Help Desk tools and trouble ticket tracking processes u2022 Understanding of support agreements and their implied service levels u2022 Proven ability to write excellent technical documentation > Serve as a primary contact for troubleshooting Teamcenter, NX, TcVis, and data structure issues for ME users. > Support data movement activitiesu2014including imports, exports, translations, and correctionsu2014between global GM databases, Plants, and vendors. > Document and refine data management processes, best practices, and training materials. > Collaborate with the larger GM user community and with suppliers > Support ME participation in global software events by conducting regression testing for Teamcenter/NX/TcVis releases, patches, and updates > Automate user identity and data storage audit workflows using power automate, powerbi, and/or other tools in our citizen developer toolbox (Databricks/AI, Mendix, etc.) Job Title BIW Data Management & Governance Specialist u2013 GM Teamcenter Job Summary We are seeking a Bodyu2011inu2011White (BIW) Data Management Specialist with handsu2011on experience working in a Teamcenter environment . This role is critical to maintaining highu2011quality BIW data and enabling smooth collaboration between OEM Manufacturing Engineering teams, plants, and suppliers. The ideal candidate has previously worked inside an OEM or as a GM supplier , understands BIW standards , and has practical experience managing data structures, releases, and data exchanges within Teamcenter. Key Responsibilities + Act as the primary BIW data expert for Teamcenter, NX, and visualization tools. + Troubleshoot and resolve data issues related to structure, completeness, accuracy, and accessibility. + Support data transfers between OEM systems, manufacturing plants, and suppliers. + Define, implement, and maintain data governance rules and best practices for BIW data. + Document processes and help create training and reference materials. + Validate data and perform rootu2011cause analysis when issues occur. + Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, or improve BIW data processes. + Support Manufacturing Engineering during software upgrades and global tool releases. + Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, and Supplier partners. + Assist tool administrators with user access, security, and audit needs. + Build basic automation and dashboards using Power Automate, Power BI, or similar platforms. Required Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience. + Experience working with GM Teamcenter in a production environment. + Working knowledge of NX and Teamcenter Visualization (TcVis) . + Strong problemu2011solving and datau2011analysis skills. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. + Strong communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications + 3+ years of experience across one or more of the following: + GM or supplier experience using Siemens PLM tools (Teamcenter, NX) + BIW Manufacturing Engineering or related domains (Body, GA, GPS, VS, Battery) + Interaction with OEMs and suppliers using PLM standards + Understanding of EBOM / MBOM structures and release processes + Experience with Technomatics or advanced manufacturing processes + Exposure to data analytics, data warehouses, or reporting tools + Experience supporting software testing, tool validation, or release readiness. + Ability to train or mentor others on processes and best practices. + Familiarity with OEM standards and the vehicle development process. + Experience with Mendix, Databricks (AI solutions), Power Automate, and/or Power BI is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Warren, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
