FTE: 0.001000 Standard Hours: 0.01 Shift: Shift 4 Shift Details:Holidays: Weekends: Job Summary: Participates with the interdisciplinarycare team in the delivery of the patient's plan of care. Provides handson patient care and will assist the RN and other team members withtreatments, procedures, and reporting pertinent information to theappropriate care team member. Performs specific service and technicalduties necessary to provide for the comfort, care, and safety ofpatients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.Assists in maintaining supplies and equipment on the nursing unit. Doesnot function as a Patient Safety Attendant (sitter). Cannot float to CMHMental Health Center. Reports to the Nurse Manager/Assistant NurseManager of the assigned unit and the RNs on duty on each assigned shift.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Good interpersonal skills to interactpositively and effectively with patients, visitors and hospitalpersonnel. Sound communication and writing skills. Math skills toperform simple arithmetic calculations. Observational and analyticalskills to identify patient changes/problems to prioritize and reactappropriately. Familiarity with PCs and other computerized patient caretools, or demonstrated ability to learn. LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: State ofWisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification is required. American HeartAssociation (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS)or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
