This role has a corresponding incentive plan based on multiple factors. incentive compensation and additional benefits can be found on our Rush benefits page ( Summary: The EARC serves as the subject matter expert for Rushu2019s ADA and return to work programs. Leads and coordinates employee accommodation requests, the interactive process and return-to-work efforts while considering applicable leave laws and policies. This position recommends solutions to support requests for accommodations, tracks and follows all assigned cases to closure while delivering high-quality HR services. Other information: Required Job Qualifications Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited college or university required. Minimum 2 years of experience in accommodation management, disability management, and/or workeru2019s compensation is required. Medical disability or vocational rehabilitation experience preferred. Experience in a healthcare setting. Experience reconciling discrepancies across documentation and driving resolutions of differences. Ability to provide clear and concise instructions to employees and key stakeholders. Preferred Job Qualifications Certified Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRC) or Bachelors Nursing with Certified Occupational health Certification (COHN) preferred. Experience with Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) Hands-on experience with HR case management platforms such as ServiceNow. Responsibilities: Essential Functions and Responsibilities u2022 Responsible for developing ADA and return-to-work policies and processes for the Rush System, including intake, claim management, adjudication, and resolution. u2022 Educates Rush leaders on the ADA and return-to-work processes to centralize claim management ownership and evolve existing decentralized culture. u2022 Perform the intake interview for requests of all accommodations, including The Pregnant Workers Fairness Act and the Pump Act. u2022 Analyze requests for accommodations taking into consideration the needs of the business and the needs of the employee. u2022 Serve as the lead consultant in the interactive process between the employee, the employeeu2019s leader and other critical stakeholders. u2022 Apply successful strategies and best practices to determine appropriate accommodations that will enable employees with disabilities to be productive in their jobs. u2022 Maintaining accurate detailed documentation of initial accommodation requests, interactive process, accommodation timeframes and other necessary information related to oneu2019s accommodation and/or request for an accommodation. u2022 Creates analyzes and evaluated statistical data, developing monthly and annual metrics related to accommodation requests. u2022 Reviews accommodations as written and explores reasonable alternative accommodations. u2022 Maintains regular contact with the employees, supervisors, health care providers, and other key stakeholders regarding progress and status of accommodations; assists in the resolution of any challenges related to the accommodations. u2022 Acts as a subject matter expert and resource to supervisors, colleagues, or physicians regarding accommodation/work restriction issues and processes. Provides advice and counsel as appropriate and acts as a liaison between all parties when necessary. u2022 Ascertains the specific physical tolerances and vocational skills needed for particular employment positions; makes decisions or assists case management staff in making decisions regarding a client's competence in performing a particular position. u2022 Contacts stakeholders to obtain specific information regarding an area of employment, i.e., training or education needed, physical demands, wages and benefits, and availability. u2022 Delivers comprehensive accommodation process training to HR, EHS managers and Rush leaders. u2022 Partners with the labor relations team when assisting employees who are part of a collective bargaining agreement. u2022 May become responsible for managing long-term leave accommodations for the system under HR.
