At DSV, we are always in search of top talent. In order to be successful in this role you will need to:1.Effectively schedule ocean and/or air bookings for both hazardous and nonhazardous materials, simple and complex cargo shipments2.Ensure the complete and timely delivery of freight by attaining knowledge from clients in order to satisfy their needs and completing paperwork that meets stringent requirements3.Process data through the Companys system and obtain consular releases as well as other government agency releases as appropriate4.Identify transactions and tasks that require special handling, recommend improved processes to management and implement resolutions within assigned scope of responsibility5.Be able to request, then negotiate, freight quotations to include details such as container capacities, packing dimensions and weights, coding, addition to basic math, be able to analyze numerical data, understand components and relationships, find patterns and draw pose complex letters regarding issues and resolutions utilizing your ability to edit and proof business correspondence and reports and organize, prepare and assemble prehend the full range of freight forwarding services: order management, movement scheduling, customs brokerage, monitor and control services, cost optimization, etc. Qualifications:1.Freight Forwarding experience preferred2.Prior use of CargoWise One a definite plus3.Three years of experience in a role involving extensive client contact puter skills, including frequent prior use of MS Outlook, Excel and Word5.Excellent math skills, along with the ability to calculate freight measurements, weight and convert to international units when necessary6.Familiarity with domestic and international geography including countries and major cities7.Extreme attention to detail, including the ability to predict and circumvent issues before they occur and taking the proper corrective action8.Ability to be highly productive while keeping cool under pressure9.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalOther Skills1.Excellent organizational and time management skills2.Strong communication and interpersonal skills3.Attention to detail and accuracy=4.Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes1.Knowledge of freight logistics and customs regulations2.Understanding of trade laws and regulationsLanguage skillsFluency in English is requiredKnowledge of additional languages is a plus Computer LiteracyProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with logistics software and systems is preferredFor this position, the expected base pay is: $20.00 - $27.00 / Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
