Wastewater Technician

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Green Bay Dressed Beef Processing , an American FoodsGroup Company has an opportunity for a Wastewater Operator at our EastRiver Plant, in Green Bay, WI. As Wastewater Technician you will: Perform daily oiling and greasing to ensure equipment operatesefficiently and effectively. Perform daily chemical drawdowns andconduct jar tests to measure and monitor parts per million (PPM) ofchemical dosage. Clean probes and perform daily probe calibrations toensure they are within the acceptable PH ranges; document PH levels. Use water and chemicals to scrub, wash, and rinse tankers. Visuallymonitor water speed and chemical delivery to Dissolved Air FlotationDevice (DAF), document findings every 15 minutes; troubleshoot and makechemistry, flow, and air adjustments as necessary. Visually inspectand check pumps for proper output. Oversee chemical delivery toWastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Sanimax; ensure all safetyprocedures are followed. Use pallet jack to change out fat combos andwash out empty combos (as needed). Monitor incoming water pit andholding pit levels. Complete required paperwork (DAF log, PH log,chemical log, water quality, etc.) NOTE: this description is notintended to be all-inclusive. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Required): Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to work in theUnited States without sponsorship. High school diploma or GED. Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid,cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and aroundmoving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment(PPE). Must be able to perform the job duties with or withoutreasonable accommodations. Ability to work extended scheduled hoursMonday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to workovertime as required. Start times and hours vary based on productionneeds. Must be able to successfully complete training: Safety. Safe Quality Food (SQF). Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP). StandardOperating Procedures (SOPs). Food defense. Lock out/Tag out. Chemical. Preferred Qualifications: Prior quality assuranceexperience in a USDA inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility. Priorproduction experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strongcommunications skills (verbal and written). Ability to troubleshootoperating errors and make timely decisions on how to resolve problem(s). Ability to work safely, wear PPE, work around chemicals, and followsafety rules. Ability to work closely and/or train with operators onall shifts sharing information about daily Waste Water Treatment Plant(WWTP) operations. Equal Opportunity Employer.
