Cardiovascular ICU, Critical Care Unit Medical Director- AdventHealth OrlandoLocation: Orlando, Florida - AMAZING OPPORTUNITY! AdventHealth Orlando is looking for a dynamic and energetic physician with leadership experience to join and lead our Cardiovascular ICU Team at AdventHealth Orlando. This position is a result of programmatic and company-wide growth as we continue to support and establish high quality Quaternary Critical Care services to our Central Florida Region. The physician would join AHMG Critical Care Specialists of Central Florida, a 100 plus employed provider intensive care team, which reaches over 15 other AdventHealth campuses throughout Central, North and West Florida, in addition to providing tele-medicine services across multiple states. We take care of and encounter over 20,000 critically-ill patients a year. Position & Program Highlights: • Dedicated administrative time and clinical involvement managing CABG, Valvular repair or replacement, Aortic dissections and Thoracic surgery patients. • Collaborate with experienced and established intensivists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and cardiologists to help continue to grow and establish a high quality and highly sustainable Cardiovascular Critical Care program. • Leading the clinical quality for CVICU care, including quality metrics and quality assurance teams. • Active participation in regional, national meetings and conferences. • Education of APP’S, medical critical care fellows and new staff. • The medical director would also be involved with building a core team of physicians working to improve the breadth and intensity of the Cardiovascular ICU. • This is truly an amazing opportunity to continue to build and cultivate one the busiest CVICU programs in the Southeastern United States. Additional responsibilities but not limited to: • Setting performance criteria for the CVICU. • Hiring and retaining qualified physicians & APPs. • Helping to advance AdventHealth Orlando into a world class advanced cardiovascular critical care service. Medical Director Requirements: • Board Certification in Critical Care (ABIM) or Surgical Critical Care (ABS) required. • 3-5 years of experience as a CVICU physician leader. • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with both private practice and employed models.
