This role is ideal for someone who brings both strategic insight and practical execution—and who is motivated by making a meaningful impact on employees’ day-to-day experience. You’ll play a critical role in attracting and retaining talent while building programs that truly make a difference.Come join us to experience all the reasons why we were voted one ofThe Washington Business Journal’sBest Places to Work!Annual Salary: $100,000 - $130,000What You’ll DoEmployee ExperienceServe as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and HR partnersSupport leave of absence and disability processes with care and clarityEnhance engagement through clear communication, education, and benefits outreachStrategy & LeadershipLead benefits planning and program designAnalyze utilization, trends, and costs to recommend thoughtful, cost-effective enhancementsHelp ensure programs remain competitive across multiple industries and workforce segmentsProgram ManagementOversee all benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life, disability, 401(k), wellness, EAP, and commuter benefitsAct as primary liaison with brokers, carriers, and retirement vendorsLead open enrollment strategy, execution, and communicationsComplianceEnsure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and related regulationsManage audits, non-discrimination testing, Form 5500 filings, and 1095 reportingMaintain accurate documentation, policies, and proceduresOperations & AnalyticsOversee enrollments, payroll deductions, and vendor integrationsLeverage HRIS and advanced Excel reporting for insights, invoicing, and auditsPartner cross-functionally with Payroll, Tax, and CommunicationsWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field—or equivalent experience7+ years of progressive experience in benefits or HR, including leadership responsibilitiesDeep knowledge of benefits administration, compliance, and industry best practicesAdvanced proficiency in HRIS platforms and expert-level Excel skillsStrong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategyExceptional communication skills with a customer-focused, approachable styleHigh level of discretion, confidentiality and professionalismPreferred:CEBS, CBP, SHRM-SCP/CP, SPHR/PHR certificationsExperience in construction, real estate, facilities, healthcare, or hospitality environmentsBilingual (Spanish) skillsThis is a highly visible, onsite leadership role that requires regular interaction with employees and stakeholders across multiple locations. Occasional travel to offices, job sites, and properties is expected.The role involves a mix of strategic planning and detailed execution in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and responsiveness are essential.
