In this role, you provide protection over MultiCare Health System properties and facilities. You will own the responsibility for the security and safety of MultiCare patients, employees and visitors.Responsibilities- Conduct general security in the protection of people and property and the enforcement of all applicable policies, rules, and regulations.- Deter criminal activity and misconduct utilizing tactical techniques.- Utilize Management of Aggressive Behavior skills both verbally and physically as required.- Apply the concepts of Awareness, Vigilance, Avoidance, Defense, and Escape to effectively protect and serve facility campus.- Utilize weapons detection devices to monitor patients/visitors and ensuring the removal of contraband from facility.- Apply appropriate techniques with assistive devices when engaging with combative/aggressive individuals.- Effectively operate/leverage required security equipment and tools.Requirements- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.- Current Washington or Idaho state driver's license.- IAHSS basic certification or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire date.- Minimum six (6) months of experience in police, military, or security, preferable in a health care setting.- Proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MultiCare Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state.
