Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Software Engineer 4 - Contingent to join their team. As a Software Engineer 4 - Contingent, you will be part of the Consumer Lending Operations Technology department supporting high-availability application and middleware platforms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, proactive mindset, and excellent collaboration abilities, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Software Engineer 4 Location: Charlotte, NC What's the Job? + Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. + Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation. + Contribute to the resolution of complex situations by understanding policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. + Collaborate strategically with client personnel to improve platform stability and reliability. + Implement observability, automation, and CI/CD practices to enhance operational efficiency and stability. What's Needed? + 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education. + Experience supporting high-availability applications and middleware in complex environments. + Hands-on automation and configuration management skills, with proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. + Strong Linux administration experience, preferably with RHEL, supporting enterprise production workloads. + Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, and container-adjacent hosting models.
