Description Job Description The Digital Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for a ServiceNow Developer supporting the Global Solutions Management u2013 Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at DISA. This contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISAu2019s operational mission through innovation, and support to DISAu2019s mission partners. Candidate must be able to be on site at Fort Meade, Scott AFB, or Hill AFB daily. At a minimum, a Secret clearance is required upon the start of employment and within 14 days following the start date the employee must obtain their Security + certification. As Sr. ServiceNow Developer you will perform configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow implementation. Works with external and internal stakeholders to understand, propose, and deliver digital transformation solutions with emphasis on request fulfillment, automated workflows through ServiceNow Service Catalogs and key ITIL processes like Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and other modules. Primary Responsibilities u2022 Support the standup, configuration and implementation of ServiceNowu2019s ITSM, OMT, TSM, and TSOM modules. u2022 Create and maintain Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Groups and Roles u2022 Create, maintain and enhance Dashboards and reporting, including scheduled reports u2022 Create and configure tool integrations with ServiceNow (Elastic, Netcool, Kafka, etc) u2022 Coordinate and support application and platform upgrades u2022 Assist with design, creation and cataloging of business process flows u2022 Work with other members of the ServiceNow development team to propose solutions based on business needs and strategies u2022 Perform the necessary tasks to design and configure ServiceNow functions to meet operational needs u2022 Support business process re-engineering activities to move ticketing and order management capabilities into ServiceNow u2022 Identify trends and find patterns in unstructured and semi-structured customer data that can be used to create a more positive customer experience and increase overall network performance u2022 Interact with the customer to address Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues or conflicts u2022 Developing, configuring, and customizing the ServiceNow platform to fit business requirements. u2022 Troubleshoot and resolve problems. u2022 Orchestrate and automate tasks. u2022 Responsible for the design and build of ServiceNow Applications and integration to other applications and platforms, including architecture, languages, best practices, and methodologies in an Agile Scrum environment. u2022 Provide strong development and project on-track and on-task and collaborate on an ongoing project in both new and enhancements development between engineers, developers, analyst, and other team members. u2022 Follow, maintain, and apply documentation best practice policies, procedures, and process throughout ServiceNow development. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input to support ongoing business needs for Service Now configuration, implementation, and support. u2022 Review and apply any additional UI/UX requirements from external and internal team and align into ServiceNow development. u2022 Utilizes available programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation. u2022 Support data migration as needed. u2022 Design and implement solutions following established Configuration Management policies and standards. u2022 Integrate data from multiple data sources into a unified CMDB, ensuring data quality and integrity are maintained. u2022 Works with and mentors junior developers to guide and coach them throughout each project. Basic Qualifications u2022 Requires a US Citizenship. u2022 Hold and active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher (i.e., Security+) u2022 Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance. u2022 Must be able to commute to Scott AFB, IL, Ft. Meade, MD, or Ogden, UT for full time on-site support u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree with 8 u2013 12 years of relevant experience or masteru2019s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of work experience in lieu of degree is acceptable. u2022 At least 6 years of experience with the design, development, and support of technology infrastructure. u2022 At least 4 years of ServiceNow development. u2022 Experience with ServiceNow upgrades. u2022 The qualified candidate shall have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks. u2022 Ability to multi-task and self-assign work in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Strong communication skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status and present to both customers and program leadership. Candidate shall have the ability to develop and present management level briefings. u2022 Demonstrate potential and willingness to learn and adapt to rapid changes in technology. u2022 Willing to assist and train junior developers. Preferred Qualifications u2022 ServiceNow Certified Application Developer u2022 Experience or familiarity with Agile development and testing methodology u2022 Exposure to ServiceNow applications like Telecommunication Management System (TSM), Telecommunications Network Inventory (TNI), Order Management Telecommunications (OMT) modules, etc. u2022 Experience with JIRA, Git and Confluence. u2022 Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified. u2022 AWS cloud and ServiceNow certifications. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in a technical field such as System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline u2022 Experience working with large software systems including hardware integration and test. u2022 Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical development teams. u2022 Experience using SAFe as the agile development methodology. u2022 Experience moving from a legacy application to a new application u2022 Experience applying test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment to achieve built-in quality by the team. u2022 Experience using Kanban to improve flow on support teams. u2022 Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD implementation.
