Our client, a leader in manufacturing and metal fabrication, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Machine Builder to join their team. As a Machine Builder, you will be an integral part of the assembly and testing department, supporting the production of high-quality metal fabricating machinery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, teamwork, and a strong work ethic, which will align successfully in the organization. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with benefits. Job Title: Machine Builder Location: Akron, NY Pay Range: $27.16 Shift: 1st Shift (7am-330pm) What's the Job? Perform a wide variety of operations involving assembly, installation, and testing of metal fabricating machines and systems. Work from drawings, schematics, process sheets, orders, and specifications to plan operational sequences. Build up machines and subassemblies on erecting floor, bench, or fixture depending on type or size. Assemble components, parts, and basic systems to machine frames, mount and align driving units, and attach heads and flywheels. Install electrical controls, connect wiring, and complete all wiring requirements for finished machines. What's Needed? Experience in assembly, installation, and testing of machinery or similar manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately. Proficiency with hand tools, small power tools, and basic electrical wiring. Strong attention to detail to maintain close tolerances in assembly and alignment.
