4401 15th aveMarvin Composites is hiring an Automation & Controls Technician on our weekend shift, at the Fargo, ND location. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys being hands-on with equipment and applying automation skills directly on the plant floor. The primary focus of this role will be on automation and automatic controls related troubleshooting, repairs and day-to-day operational support. A secondary focus includes supporting controls related equipment improvement and upgrade projects, such as equipment upgrades, improvements, program changes and improvements, upgrading or improving control panel wiring, and creating or updating schematics.In this role, you’ll work closely with Maintenance Technicians, Automation & Controls Technicians, Engineers, and Operations, responding to floor calls, resolving automation and controls issues, and ensuring equipment reliability. If you enjoy diagnosing problems in real time and using your knowledge of control systems to help keep production running, this could be a great fit.Schedule: 6:30 AM - 6:45 PM, Friday - SundayProvide troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance support for PLC-controlled automation and control systemsDiagnose, repair, and replace mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical componentsPerform timely machine wiring, sensor replacement, control panel troubleshooting supportUtilize maintenance systems to document repair requests, track issues, and support preventive maintenance activities.Collaborate closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to support safe and efficient productionPay:$29.00-38.00/per hour + $4.00/hour weekend premiumPay based on experience levelTwo-year technical degree preferred, such as Mechatronics, Industrial technology, or a related fieldThree or more years of relevant experience with industrial automation or control systems may substitute for a degreePLC programming experience or education preferredAbility to communicate effectively throughout various department levelsMarvin Composites produces custom fiberglass components used in many of the premium windows and doors manufactured by Marvin, a family-owned and -led company.
