If you are ready to provide compassionate care through precision imaging - right where it’s needed most - MiVU is your home.Mobile Imaging Veterinary Ultrasound (MiVU) is seeking a passionate veterinarian to join our mobile ultrasound team serving Nashville, TN and the surrounding region!MiVU, established in 2012, is a successful and growing mobile veterinary service providing convenient diagnostic ultrasound services to animal hospitals across Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, and Tennessee. Due to continued growth and strong demand in an area we already proudly serve, we are seeking an upbeat, positive, and driven veterinarian to join our established team in Falls Church, this role, you will work directly with primary care veterinarians and collaborate on cases with specialists, delivering timely, high-quality diagnostic imaging and support to hospitals and their patients.Veterinarians with an interest in and experience with ultrasound are encouraged to apply. You will receive up to 4 months of paid training to ensure confidence and success in the role. MiVU offers excellent benefits, including:Normal hours (M-F, 9am-5pm)No weekendsPTOHealth benefits401(k)Bonus payCE allowanceLicensing coverageCompany vehicleIf you believe you’d be a great fit for this opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.Position ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostic ultrasound examinations including:Abdominal and thoracic examsPregnancy EvaluationThyroid and parathyroid evaluationCryptorchid examsOcular examsGeneral health screeningPerform full diagnostic echocardiograms to be sent to a boarded cardiologist for interpretationPerform ultrasound-guided fluid cavity centesisPerform ultrasound-guided biopsies, including tru-cut tissue core biopsies (14ga) and fine-needle biopsiesPrepare accurate, thorough, and timely medical reportsRequirementsDoctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited universityMinimum of 5 years of clinical veterinary experienceUltrasound experience highly preferredTraining & SupportUp to 4 months of hands-on training with MiVU veterinariansOngoing collaboration with SVP internists, radiologists, and cardiologistsContinuing education course supportPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. The teammate may be required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The role includes moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to operate a computer and related equipment is required.Sitting may include up to 3 hours per day in a vehicle.
