Candidate will be part of the local Project Project Digital Delivery Leaderer team where the office lead shares ongoing work, innovations, and expertise. Work will be performed under the supervision of the practice and regional group leader, with close alignment with the line of business leads. This is a tactical role focused on managing large complex programs with stringent BIM and VDC requirements and with an emphasis on supporting the larger organizational need for innovation and process transformation. The Project Digital Delivery Leader is responsible for researching and helping standardize VDC/BIM workflows across our design practice as well as organizing and communicating BIM technical information for global A/E, EPCM, and CM Practice. The lead must possess the ability to relay these technology solutions to architecture, engineering, and construction professionals. This includes sales/client-facing presentations and meetings. Lead technology R&D activities and manage initiatives, including new technology implementations Represent Jacobs at select industry, academic, and software vendor events while serving as a Digital Delivery ambassador for process transformation Develop collaborative project workflows and processes with project partners and Digital Delivery team members. Participate in ongoing practice leadership communities of practice, assessments, and training programs. Update, develop, and implement Digital Delivery technology training programs for office staff and work with office managers and project managers to organize and conduct this training Challenge current BIM/VDC practices, guiding the resulting technology transformation Act as a liaison with IT and project staff to ensure functional and efficient hardware and software setups for design staff Initiate project BIM project setup, BIM execution plans, maintain common data environment, initiate design coordination, interoperability among common toolsets, perform quality control checks. Coordinate technology related activities on projects with stringent BIM deliverables Participate in project-based BIM Strategy for all projects in office & work with Project Manager to produce the project-based BIM Implementation document (PxP, BEP) Integrate with construction and review trade contractor models, shop drawings, reality capture data and adapt design models for construction purposes as necessary Ensure that milestone models adhere to all internal and client specific standards as outlined in BEP Identify, evaluate, and if possible, expand the efficiency of the software using API tools Support local multi-disciplinary design teams (Architecture, Structural, and MEP) as BIM managers. Responsible for providing BIM production support for project teams; including BIM Execution Plan documentation, BIM project kick-off meetings, project model setup, clash detection setup, and client deliverable coordination Responsible for maintaining and developing standardization processes, documenting best practices, and providing training sessions Participating in and coordinating national BIM efforts and monthly calls Participates in scheduled conference calls with other local and national office BIM coordinators for the purpose of knowledge sharing, management and lessons learnedEssential FunctionsIntermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights. Minimum of 2-4 years' Digital Delivery (BIM/VDC) experience leveraging and managing technology in facility design and construction required Associate or bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience, required Industry BIM Certification (Revit Professional, CM-BIM, or related) is preferred Ability to motivate established professionals, external partners, and direct reports Effective leader: articulate, diplomatic, ethical, and dedicated Experience with, and passionate about BIM, IPD, Lean, Collaboration Must have extensive knowledge of the nuances, features, functions, and limitations of Autodesk and Bentley 3D/BIM Platforms, including experience with complex workflows involving these platforms Knowledge of Design-Bid-Build, Design/Build, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and other modern contractual delivery methods Proven successful implementations of BIM platform technologies Understands the construction industry and maintains knowledge of future trends Understands project workflows from design, estimation, construction administration and coordination, and fabrication Knowledge of industry standards, workflows, data formats and inter-operability techniquesWorking knowledge and proficiency with the following: Design and engineering analysis tools like Dynamo, Grasshopper, Sefaira, RAM etc. Collaboration and data management solutions like ProjectWise, ACC/Forma, Revizto, Navisworks, Navigator, BIMSite, PlanGrid, Fieldwire Bluebeam and other markup and design review tools Real time visualization tools like Revizto and Enscape. Experience with AR/VR tools and processes preferred 3D/BIM-enabled quantity takeoff and BIM-enabled estimating tools Awareness/knowledge/experience in BIM usage in the building life cycle/COJacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
