Job Description

Job Title: General Production Worker - $16/HR - 1st / 2nd Shift Job Description This role supports a high-volume manufacturing operation by operating press and weld machines, inspecting and packaging parts, and assisting with basic troubleshooting and die changes. You will work on either 1st or 2nd shift in a stamping facility, helping to ensure that parts meet quality standards while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work area. Responsibilities + Operate press and weld machines safely and efficiently in a production environment. + Work with coil-fed stamping presses and use hand tools, metrology equipment, and plasma cutters as required. + Monitor product quality by checking parts with gauges and documenting results to verify and record quality standards. + Assist die setters with die changes to support efficient production changeovers. + Perform basic troubleshooting activities on presses to help maintain continuous operation. + Package parts using available equipment and ensure finished goods are prepared for shipment or further processing. + Maintain basic housekeeping in the work area, including organizing tools, managing scrap containers, and keeping the area clean and safe. + Follow all safety procedures and production guidelines established by management. + Perform various other duties as required by management to support overall production goals. + Lift up to 40 pounds for short periods of time and stand for extended periods during the shift. + Work scheduled hours on 1st or 2nd shift and be available for overtime and weekend work as needed. Essential Skills + At least 6 months of manufacturing experience. + Experience in automotive or aerospace manufacturing, or experience in large distribution centers such as major logistics operations. + Ability to operate or learn to operate press and weld machines in a production environment. + Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts and documenting quality checks. + Ability to use basic hand tools and follow work instructions accurately. + Capability to stand for extended periods of time during the shift. + Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for short periods of time. + Willingness and availability to work weekends and overtime as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MOUNT CLEMENS, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
