Description Robert Half is partnering with a Sheboygan County client in the recruiting for an AP Accountant to manage day-to-day payables activity and support timely month-end close preparation. This role will also assist with key inventory/cost accounting functions including supporting costing, bill of materials maintenance, and cycle count processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience in a manufacturing or inventory-driven environment. Key Responsibilities + Manage daily accounts payable activities, including invoice review, coding, entry, and payment processing + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner + Maintain accurate AP records and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies + Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis + Prepare and support monthly account reconciliations and variance analyses + Assist with product costing and cost updates to ensure accurate inventory valuation + Maintain and update bill of materials data in the ERP system + Support cycle count programs, investigate inventory discrepancies, and help ensure inventory accuracy + Partner with operations, purchasing, and production teams to support inventory and cost accounting processes + Help identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting, and internal controls + Assist with audit requests and ad hoc reporting as needed Requirements + Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field + 2+ years of accounting experience, including AP and month-end close support + Some experience with costing, inventory accounting, bill of materials, or cycle counts highly preferred + Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations + Proficiency in Excel and experience working with ERP systems + Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment + Effective written and verbal communication skills + Manufacturing or distribution industry experience + Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
