Job Title: Production Assembler Job Description An assembler builds high-quality products on a production line by following detailed work instructions, using hand and power tools, and operating basic test equipment. This role involves rotating between stations on an assembly line, working with small parts, and using a workstation computer to follow schedules and document work. The assembler plays a key role in maintaining product quality, safety, and production efficiency in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Responsibilities + Work on an assigned assembly line and rotate between stations as needed to support production flow. + Assemble parts into finished or sub-assembled products by following written work instructions and established procedures. + Use hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical and sub-assembly tasks safely and accurately. + Handle and assemble small parts with care and attention to detail to ensure proper fit and function. + Use test equipment to verify that assemblies meet quality and performance standards. + Visually inspect parts and finished products for defects such as scratches, dents, slugs, pinched wires, and other irregularities. + Use a workstation computer to read production schedules, match parts to work orders, view work instructions, and scan parts into inventory or production software. + Follow quality standards and guidelines to ensure all products meet required specifications. + Work with insulation materials on certain assembly lines while using provided personal protective equipment (PPE). + Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety rules and procedures. + Communicate effectively with team members and support a collaborative, high-performance production environment. Essential Skills + At least 6 months of assembly experience in a production, manufacturing, or similar environment. + Experience working on an assembly line with rotation between different stations. + Proficiency using hand tools for mechanical and small-part assembly tasks. + Ability to safely operate power tools for sub-assembly and production work. + Basic mechanical assembly skills and the ability to follow detailed work instructions. + Ability to work with small parts and perform precise hand assembly tasks. + Basic computer skills to read schedules, view work instructions, and scan parts into inventory or production systems. + Strong attention to detail for visual inspection of parts and finished products. + Ability to follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment. + Reliable attendance and the ability to work the scheduled 1st shift hours. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in production, warehouse, assembly, or general labor roles. + Comfort working with test equipment to verify product quality. + Willingness to learn and move into other departments such as welding or maintenance as opportunities arise. + Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced manufacturing environment. + Strong work ethic and willingness to take on overtime when available. Shift Hours 1st Shift: 5:00am-1:00pm, Monday-Friday 2nd Shift: 1:00pm-9:00pm, Monday-Friday Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Verona, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
