About the role As a Senior API Integration Quality Engineer u2013 Healthcare , you will make an impact by validating complex healthcare integrations. You will be a valued member of a crossu2011functional delivery team, working collaboratively with product owners, architects, developers, and quality leaders to ensure regulatory compliance, data integrity, and highu2011quality APIu2011driven integrations across healthcare systems. This role is heavily focused on API testing and HL7 FHIRu2011based integrations, supporting largeu2011scale, missionu2011critical healthcare platforms . In this role, you will : Lead and execute endu2011tou2011end API and integration testing for CMS Burden Reduction and interoperability initiatives. Validate HL7 FHIRu2011based REST APIs, including payloads, schemas, headers, authentication, and error handling. Perform deep integration validation across upstream and downstream systems and external integration partners. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance across complex API workflows. Contribute to test strategy and planning during PI Planning, including scenario coverage, dependencies, risks, and regression impact. Define and review acceptance criteria using GIVENu2011WHENu2011THEN format. Design, automate, and execute endu2011tou2011end test scenarios (positive, negative, and integration). Collaborating with product owners, architects, developers, RTEs, and QE leads on defect management, release readiness, and postu2011production validation. Maintain accurate and timely updates in Jira for test execution, defects, and feature validation. This role is open to qualified applicants in the following locations: Bloomfield, CT (preferred) Franklin, TN (secondary) The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting and may change based on business or client needs. We will always be clear about role expectations. What you need to have to be considered 5+ years of experience in endu2011tou2011end or integration quality engineering. Strong handsu2011on API testing expertise (mustu2011have). Extensive experience using Postman for API validation. Strong knowledge of HL7 FHIR, healthcare interoperability, and CMS Burden Reduction initiatives. Experience testing REST APIs across complex integration workflows. Strong experience using Jira for test and defect management. Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments. These will help you stand out Experience using Playwright for API and UI integration scenarios. Exposure to CI/CDu2011aligned testing practices. Experience with Nucural or similar healthcare data platforms. Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across engineering, product, and architecture teams. Strong communication skills and comfort participating in system demos, design walkthroughs, and release retrospectives. Salary and Other Compensation Applications will be accepted until May 15 th , 2026 The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to $92,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizantu2019s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizantu2019s applicable plans.
