Become a part of our caring community As a Medical Assistant you will be the first contact for patient care, responsible for administrative responsibilities in addition to patient care. Working onsite in a clinical environment and reporting to the Center Administrator you will perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. Please note: This is a _FLOAT_ position and will require you to work between offices as needs require. We will reimburse mileage for travel between clinics. Location Address: CenterWell Senior Primary Care office located at: 1910 John Ralston Rd., Houston, TX 77013 You will be reporting to the: Manager, Clinic/Center Administration Job Responsibilities As a Medical Assistant you will perform clinical tasks such as: u00b7 You will perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type u00b7 You will obtain and record medical history and vital signs u00b7 You will room patients and assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and treatments u00b7 You will perform specimen collection and point of care testing u00b7 You will prepare and administer medication under the direction of healthcare provider u00b7 You will ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (HER) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including documentation of HEDIS and Stars quality measures Required Qualifications u00b7 An active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification from one of the following organizations: AAH, AAMA, AMT, ARMA, MedCa, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, or NHA u00b7 Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider u00b7 Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish u00b7 High school diploma or equivalent u00b7 1+ years of MA experience u00b7 Phlebotomy experience u00b7 Medication/vaccine administration experience u00b7 CPR Certified u00b7 We consider this role patient facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB Other Qualifications + 1+ years of experience in a PCO center + Value-based Care experience includes knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience + Advanced Phlebotomy experience + 1+ years of experience working in a cardiologist office. + 1 or more years of experience. + 2 + years of previous experience as a Certified / Registered Medical Assistance + Willing to cross train in other roles based on business need. + Previous experience with medical
