Hereu2019s what you can expect to do: + Develop and implement process improvements for sewer maintenance. + Function as technical lead and emergency management representative for flood preparations, readiness planning, and events. + Manage sewer buildings, specialized equipment, and vehicles. + Monitor and assist with the management of the sewer maintenance operational budget. + Perform independent professional engineering on sewer infrastructure planning, design, rehabilitation, repair, and replacement projects. + Plan and manage sewer capital improvement and maintenance projects including the preparation of plans, project bidding documents, engineeru2019s estimates, and construction administration. + Prepare and review traffic control plans for major projects and events. + Provide backup support for the sewer design engineer. + Represent the Sewer Utility at internal and external meetings with elected officials, households/businesses, the public, and stake holders. + Research, review, and analyze, sewer records, videos, and databases. + For more information and essential functions, see our job description (engineer iii&pagetype=classSpecifications) . Information Specific to this Position: This position will be located at 419 Burgess St., Saint Paul, MN, working the hours of 7:30am - 4:00pm, on-site, with required daily on-site presence and minimal opportunity for remote work. This position requires availability to work outside regular hours whenever critical deadlines and/or emergencies arise. Position Requirements Must possess and maintain Licensure in the State of Minnesota as a Professional Civil Engineer, and four years of Civil Engineering experience, at least two years of which must be as a Civil Engineer II (engineer iii&pagetype=classSpecifications) or equivalent. Licensure as a Professional Civil Engineer is required by date of appointment. Licensure as a Professional Civil Engineer within the State of Minnesota is required within six months of appointment.
