Primary Duties Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies. Rotate with Top Stacker between bundling and stacking when necessary Assist Top Stacker in gluing boxes and finishing last unit Ensure finished box count is correct Report final box count to J&L Operator Assist with tags and cover sheets when necessary Learn to perform First Helper-J&L job Assist in set up when necessary Bundle boxes according to factory master Assist in cleaning area as necessary, this includes keeping all sheets off of floor Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs Use proper lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and bending techniques Perform each task in a manner which prevents bodily injury, equipment and product damage Observe all safety and health guidelines May be assigned to other projects and duties High school diploma or GED Able to speak, read comprehend, and write legibly in English Must be able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy Must be able to read and follow instructions on factory master Prior experience in the corrugated industry, preferred 6 + months experience in the Finishing Department, preferred To successfully perform the essential functions of this role it requires the ability to: stand for long periods, walk frequently, squat, climb, bend, crouch, push-pull, carry, work at heights, frequent use of hands (reach with hands and arms), view computer monitor, use radio, speak and listen frequently. Role requires ability to work in environment of excessive heat or cold, walking on uneven surfaces and frequent lifting up to 20 pounds.
