CNC Machinist u2013 Build Precision Parts That Power the Aviation Industry PDS Tech Commercial Partnering with a Leader in Aerospace Manufacturing Location: Wichita, KS 67212 Job Type: Full-Time Consultant (12-Month Contract) Schedule: Friday u2013 Sunday Second Shift 3x12 Schedule (Flexible Lunch) Pay Rate: $25.00 u2013 $40.00 per hour Overtime: OT after 40 hours 7th Day Double Time Turn Skill Into Flight-Critical Precision PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join a premier aviation manufacturing team in Wichita, Kansas. If you take pride in precision, craftsmanship, and producing high-quality components that meet exact specifications, this is your opportunity to work on products that help keep the aviation industry moving. Your machining expertise will directly support the production of critical aerospace parts where quality, accuracy, and consistency matter every day. What Youu2019ll Do + Set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathes, mills, and other machine tools to produce parts to specification + Monitor machine feed rates, speeds, and cutting performance throughout the machining process + Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, charts, and work orders + Calculate dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, scales, and dial indicators + Translate decimal and fractional measurements accurately + Inspect completed parts to ensure conformance to quality standards + Produce accurate part counts to meet work order quantities and deadlines + Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance to keep machines operating efficiently + Maintain housekeeping standards within assigned machine shop areas + Operate forklifts when needed (after training and certification) + Follow all workplace safety procedures, including use of required PPE + Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines Required Qualifications + 5+ years of CNC machining experience + Proven ability to set up, adjust, and operate CNC lathes, mills, and other machine tools + Strong blueprint reading and machining math skills + Experience using precision measuring instruments + Ability to inspect parts and maintain tight tolerances + High school diploma or GED + Ability to lift up to 75+ pounds + Dependable attendance and strong work ethic + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment + Commitment to workplace safety standards Preferred Qualifications + Aerospace or aviation manufacturing experience + Forklift certification or prior forklift experience + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail + Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines + Positive attitude with willingness to learn and adapt + Flexibility to work overtime as needed + Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality Why Join Us At PDS Tech Commercial, we connect talented professionals with high-impact opportunities in advanced manufacturing and aerospace.
