This role will work hybrid between working inu00a0KQED's newly renovated headquarters (u00a0and working remotely. KQED requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Position Summary & Essential Functions: + The editorial intern will report and write weekly event picks, news briefs, andu00a0 shorter breaking stories online. You will be strongly encouraged to file at least one in-depth, feature length story during your internship.u00a0u00a0 Other Job Functions: + Contributing to group projects and assisting editors as needed. Some listu00a0 management or formatting tasks may arise from time to time, as well as occasional audio oru00a0 photography assignments.u00a0u00a0 Knowledge/Experience Required: + Experience writing and reporting + A natural curiosity andu00a0 open mind + A passion for the arts in all its forms + Strong writing voice + Solid work ethic + Commitment to serving the community Knowledge/Experience Desired: + Fluency in Wordpress or equivalent CMS platform + Photography and audio skills + Ability to drive for stories + Nimbleness and creativity on socialu00a0 media + Familiarity with public records + Deep knowledge of the Bay Area arts scene Growth & Development Opportunities: + This is not a fetch-coffee internship.
