Job Description Farm Bureau Financial Services (FBFS) is seeking a Mainframe Application Developer to design, build, and support core business applications. This role focuses on translating business requirements and use cases into reliable, highu2011performing mainframe solutions while ensuring longu2011term scalability, maintainability, and performance. The ideal candidate is a strong COBOL developer who understands mainframe batch and online processing, has experience navigating enterprise mainframe environments, and writes clean, structured, reusable code. u2003u2022 Translate business requirements, storyboards, and use cases into functional mainframe applications u2003u2022 Working on Backlogs and Tech debts u2003u2022 Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness u2003u2022 Identify system bottlenecks and defects, and implement effective solutions u2003u2022 Apply appropriate design and architectural patterns in a mainframe environment u2003u2022 Develop reusable code libraries and utilities Collaborate with crossu2011functional teams to support ongoing enhancements and maintenance This position pays between $40-$50 hr.
