Job Summary and Qualifications Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today + You will communicate with physicians about changes in patientsu2019 clinical condition + You will respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment + You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure + You will perform general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision. + You will maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts + You will participate in performance improvement activities + You will act as the patientu2019s advocate, as circumstances require What qualifications you will need: + Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent + Current license to practice as a registered Nurse in the State of Nevada + Current BLS required + S.T.A.B.L.E. (within 90 days of hire) + AWHONN Fetal monitoring validation within 6 months of hire + ACLS must be obtained within 3 months of Hire/Transfer + Pass National League of Nursing medication test with score of 80% + Minimum 1-year recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience, in a comparable or more active unit or completion of Labor and Delivery course at Southern Hills Hospital, including surgical suite + Proficient in Labor and Delivery nursing procedures and skills, including fetal monitoring interpretation + Proficiency in newborn, maternal/child, and labor and delivery, childbearing women (11-55 years), nursing procedures and skills, including assessment Benefits Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
