Engineer the Future of Aviation Safety as an Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Airworthiness & Regulatory Engineer to support a leader in the aviation industry in Everett, WA . In this role, youu2019ll lead investigations, collaborate with cross-functional experts, and help ensure aircraft systems continue to meet the highest regulatory and safety standards. What Youu2019ll Do As part of the Safety & Compliance Investigations team, youu2019ll play a key role in identifying root causes, driving corrective actions, and supporting long-term compliance initiatives across the aircraft lifecycle. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: + Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations involving regulatory compliance and airworthiness concerns + Partner with engineering teams across Systems, Structures, Payloads, and Propulsion to resolve technical issues + Develop clear problem statements, identify systemic root causes, and implement containment and prevention strategies + Coordinate with internal leadership, suppliers, and stakeholders to communicate investigation progress and outcomes + Work closely with Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) teams to ensure documentation meets regulatory expectations + Support continuous improvement of safety, compliance, and investigation processes + Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences What You Bring Required Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s, Masteru2019s, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry + 5+ years of related engineering experience or equivalent combination of education and experience + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to lead projects and collaborate across diverse teams + Self-starter with strong ownership mindset and attention to detail + Ability to work 100% onsite in Everett, WA Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with RCCA tools such as 5-Whys, Fishbone, or structured problem-solving methods + Knowledge of commercial aircraft operations, certification, and safety requirements + Familiarity with FAA regulatory compliance and ODA procedures + Experience working with FAA or other regulatory agencies + Background in aircraft systems design, analysis, or integration (Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuel Systems, etc.) + Pilotu2019s License or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License Why Join Us At PDS Tech Commercial, we connect talented professionals with opportunities that shape industries and improve lives.
