Embedded Software Verification Engineer u2013 Surgical Robotics (Cambridge, MA) Verify safety-critical embedded, real-time software that enables core robotic functions for a next-generation robotic surgery platform. Your role: + Contribute to the development of a breakthrough robotic surgery platform by verifying embedded, real-time software that powers core robotic functions. + Collaborate closely with embedded software, systems, controls, and hardware engineering teams to investigate, reproduce, and document defects and to improve test coverage. + Influence a high-impact clinical product while growing your verification expertise in robotics and image-guided therapy within a global health-technology organization based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. You're the right fit if: + You have 2+ years of experience verifying embedded software for real-time systems (individual contributor role; no people leadership required). + You bring strong C++ programming skills and a solid understanding of embedded software architecture and constraints; you can break down complex problems and deliver practical solutions. + You have practical experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), embedded Linux, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and building automated and semi-automated test frameworks (e.g., Python plus embedded toolchains). + You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position. + You are comfortable interpreting requirements, producing traceable verification evidence, and working in regulated, multidisciplinary development environments; experience with medical devices, safety-critical systems, robotic motion control, or troubleshooting sensors/actuators is a plus. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companyu2019s facilities. Philips Transparency Details: The pay range for this position in (Cambridge, MA) is $114,000 to $182,000 The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
