JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview J OB SUMMARY We are seeking a highly skilledData Architect to play a pivotal role in designing scalable, secure, andhigh- performing data solutions across the enterprise. This role willfocus on architecting the next generation of data platforms, driving theadoption of modern technologies, and ensuring alignment with enterprisegoals and governance standards. As part of RDI's broader mission, thisrole serves as a hands-on architect who blends technical depth withstrategic insight to shape data engineering, analytics, and AI/MLcapabilities in unlocking the power of data to inform decisions,optimize performance, and create competitive advantage internalstakeholders. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES D e v elopend-to-end data architecture strategies for big data and advancedanalytics solutions using Azure D atabricks. Experience with buildingDatabricks Delta Lake based Lakehouse using DLT, PySpark Jobs,Databricks Workflows, Unity Catalog and Medallion architecture fromthe ground up. Ensure data models support scalability, performance,and security requirements. Configure and optimize Databricksclusters, notebooks, and workflows for ETL/ELT processes. IntegrateDatabricks with other Azure services such as Azure Data Lake Storage(ADLS), Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, and Microsoft Fabric. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and costoptimization. Work closely with data engineers, analysts, andbusiness stakeholders to translate requirements into technicalsolutions. P rovide technical leadership and mentorship to teammembers on Databricks and Azure technologies. Mo n itor andtroubleshoot data pipelines and workflows for reliability andefficiency. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatorystandards for data privacy and security. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS,KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's or Master's degree inComputer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a relatedfield. 7 + years of progressive experience in data engineering, datamodelling including at least 2 years in an architecture-focused or leadtechnical role. P roven experience architecting enterprise-gradecloud data platforms using Azure. Experience with building DatabricksDelta Lake based Lakehouse using DLT, PySpark Jobs, Databricks Workflows, Unity Catalog and Medallion architecture from the ground up.ADDITIONAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS Strong understanding ofdata security principles and best practices. Experience withDatabricks monitoring and performance tuning tools. Solidunderstanding of DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, includingCI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks. Analytical &Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complexissues and deliver effective solutions under time constraints. Documentation & Process Management: Ability to create and maintain cleardocumentation for configurations, processes, and governance standards. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data EngineerAssociate or Databricks Certified Data Engineer. Ability to work in afast-paced, collaborative environment. Excellent organizationalskills, time management, and ability to work independently on multipledeadlines ensuring high quality deliverables while managing shiftingresponsibilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills andability to tailor message to appropriate audience.
