Family Law Attorney

Description We are looking for an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our respected practice in Oakland, California. This position offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload of family law matters while working primarily remotely, with occasional court appearances. For the right candidate, there is a defined pathway to leadership and the potential to acquire the firm in the future. Responsibilities: u2022 Handle a wide variety of family law cases, including divorce, custody disputes, support matters, and restraining orders. u2022 Develop effective legal strategies and communicate directly with clients to understand their needs and goals. u2022 Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents required for case progression. u2022 Represent clients in court proceedings and advocate for their best interests. u2022 Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless experience for clients. u2022 Maintain accurate case documentation using tools like MyCase and Dropbox. u2022 Stay updated on family law regulations and practices to provide informed counsel. u2022 Manage cases autonomously from initiation to resolution, ensuring timely and effective outcomes. u2022 Address urgent client needs with professionalism and sensitivity. Requirements u2022 Must be a licensed attorney in California. u2022 Demonstrated experience handling family law cases, including litigation. u2022 Proficiency in legal document drafting and courtroom advocacy. u2022 Familiarity with legal software such as MyCase and Dropbox. u2022 Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client interaction. u2022 Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and managing priorities. u2022 Knowledge of restraining orders and related legal processes. u2022 Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
