Clinic Placement Coordinator Position: Lecturer AY Day/Time:TBD Modality:Hybrid Term: AY 2026-2027 College:College of Education Health and Human Services Department: Speech-Language Pathology The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part? time Clinic Placement Coordinator. The Clinic Placement Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the clinical education of graduate students enrolled in the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology ( SLP) program. The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee and facilitate high-quality external clinical placements that align with program goals, accreditation requirements, and student learning outcomes. Minimum qualifications: Masters degree in Science Speech-Language Pathology. Experience as astudent or employee in a graduate program inSpeech-LanguagePathology. Working knowledge ofclinical education requirementsfor SLP programs, including accreditation and licensure standards. Familiarity with theSouthern California region, including San Diego, Riverside, Orange, and Los Angeles counties. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple placements, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in professional correspondence with clinical partners. Ability to build andmaintaineffective working relationships with faculty, students, and external clinical partners. Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to compliance and documentation. Experience in using technology to streamline processes and improve outcomes. Experience inadvising,mentoringorsupporting students with resources that promote academic success. Per the California State University’s Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment. Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with student information systems or clinical tracking software. Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with faculty and program leadership. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving a diverse campus community as it relates to clinical learning opportunities and, as applicable, service. Salary commensurate with degree level and experience AnticipatedHiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month The salary schedule information for the Lecturer - Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges: CSU Classification Salary RangeLecturer A - AY: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
