Senior‑Level Technical Ownership - Work on complex SAP ABAP and OData development initiativesFully Remote Flexibility - Contribute from anywhere in the U.S.Meaningful Business Impact - Support critical HR and Payroll processes used across the organizationBalanced Role - Blend project delivery with internal support and continuous improvementCollaborative SAP Environment - Partner with functional, technical, and business stakeholdersYour Role & Responsibilities Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and end users to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutionsDesign, develop, and enhance custom ABAP reports, function modules, BAPIs, classes, and other ABAP objectsDevelop and maintain OData services using SAP Gateway and/or ABAP CDS views to expose backend data for SAP Fiori and other frontend applicationsImplement CRUD operations within OData services, ensuring business logic aligns with HR and Payroll requirementsDefine and structure OData metadata, including entities, associations, and navigation propertiesPerform unit testing and validate ABAP programs and OData services across multiple scenariosTroubleshoot and resolve issues using tools such as ABAP Debugger, ST22 dumps, and SAP Gateway logsAnalyze and optimize ABAP code for performance, particularly for payroll and large‑volume data processingPartner with SAP Fiori/UI5 developers to ensure seamless backend‑to‑frontend integrationMaintain thorough technical documentation covering data flow, logic, and specificationsAct as a bridge between project delivery and internal SAP support, ensuring continuity and stabilitySkills & Experience You Should Possess 7-10+ years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experienceStrong expertise in object‑oriented ABAP developmentSolid understanding of SAP HR and Payroll processes, including payroll calculationsExperience working with CATS (Cross‑Application Time Sheet)Hands‑on experience developing and supporting OData servicesProven ability to work in complex SAP landscapes and enterprise environmentsStrong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionallyBonus Points If You Have Prior experience supporting SAP HR Payroll implementations or enhancementsExposure to SAP Fiori / UI5 integrationsExperience balancing project work with production support responsibilitiesBackground working in large, matrixed organizationsEducation & Certifications You Need Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferredEquivalent professional experience will be considered in place of formal educationSAP certifications are a plus but not requiredWhat We OfferAt Trissential, we value deep technical expertise, collaboration, and long‑term partnerships.
