Job Title: 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate (Forklift Operator) Job Description This 2nd shift warehouse role focuses on safely operating a sit-down forklift and handling large bags of agricultural seed in a clean, well-organized distribution environment. You will support production operations by moving, stacking, labeling, and bagging product, while consistently following established production policies and procedures. This position requires comfort with repetitive tasks, physical work, and working overnight hours from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Responsibilities + Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload large bags of agricultural seed. + Stack seed bags, typically 2u20133 bags high, ensuring stable and secure placement. + Apply general knowledge of production policies and procedures to support daily production operations. + Lift, carry, and throw seed bags weighing 50+ pounds on a consistent basis when not operating the forklift. + Assist with labeling products to ensure correct identification and traceability. + Help with bagging products and preparing items for shipping, receiving, and warehouse distribution. + Pick orders accurately and stage products for shipment according to warehouse procedures. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all facility and safety guidelines. + Perform repetitive warehouse and production tasks while maintaining quality and productivity standards. + Communicate with team members and follow instructions to meet production and shipping schedules. Essential Skills + Previous warehouse experience in a distribution or production environment. + Hands-on forklift experience, specifically with sit-down forklifts. + Work experience in production or manufacturing support work. + Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more on a consistent basis. + Capability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift. + Basic understanding of shipping, receiving, and order picking processes. + Reliability to work 2nd shift hours from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. + Commitment to following safety procedures and production policies. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in warehouse distribution environments. + Experience with shipping and receiving operations. + Experience picking and staging orders in a warehouse setting. + Comfort working with agricultural or similar bulk bagged products. + Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment The role is based in a very clean and organized warehouse and production facility focused on agricultural seed handling and distribution. You will primarily work indoors in a temperature-variable environment that typically ranges in the mid-40s to 50s (u00b0F) during winter and becomes warmer in the summer months. The position follows a 2nd shift schedule from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Work is physically demanding and repetitive, involving frequent lifting, carrying, and stacking of heavy bags, as well as extended periods of operating a sit-down forklift. The dress code requires a T-shirt, jeans, and steel-toe footwear at all times, with no exceptions, to support comfort and safety on the warehouse floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elizabethtown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
