Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Formulation Chemist to support product development within a leading global organization in the beauty and personal care space. Duration: 6 months temp to hire Location: Clark NJ Pay: 25/hr Position Overview This role will support the development and optimization of product formulations through hands-on laboratory work and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple projects while contributing to innovation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement within an R&D environment. Key Responsibilities + Develop and batch prototype formulations in alignment with product specifications + Monitor formula stability and make adjustments as needed to ensure performance and quality standards + Troubleshoot formulation challenges and provide creative, solution-oriented approaches during product development + Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams and support groups to drive project progress + Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining a minimum of five active development initiatives + Maintain accurate documentation and follow established laboratory and development protocols Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree in a science-related field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar) + Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; cosmetics or personal care industry experience preferred + Hands-on experience with batching and formulation development required + Strong computer skills and familiarity with laboratory documentation systems + Excellent communication and organizational skills + Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment + Team-oriented mindset with a positive and proactive approach Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
