Real Estate Attorney

Description We are looking for an attorney to support sophisticated real estate and business transactions in Baltimore, Maryland. This role focuses on advising clients involved in mixed-use development projects, including developers, investors, homebuilders, landlords, and tenants. The attorney will contribute to matters spanning property transactions, development planning, financing arrangements, leasing, and business ownership agreements. Responsibilities: u2022 Advise clients on mixed-use real estate developments from early planning through transaction execution. u2022 Handle legal work related to property purchases, sales, and other transfer matters tied to commercial real estate investments. u2022 Support site development efforts by reviewing project documents, coordinating due diligence, and helping address land use considerations. u2022 Structure and organize business entities to align with project goals, ownership interests, and investment strategies. u2022 Assist with financing transactions by preparing, reviewing, and negotiating documents connected to project funding. u2022 Draft and negotiate lease agreements and related occupancy documents for landlords and tenants. u2022 Prepare and review joint venture, operating, and stockholder agreements for business and investment arrangements. u2022 Contribute to the acquisition and sale of businesses by supporting transaction documents, negotiations, and closing activities. Requirements u2022 At least 2 years of legal experience with commercial real estate transactions or closely related matters. u2022 Background advising clients on acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects involving commercial property. u2022 Working knowledge of due diligence processes related to land development, site development, and real estate investments. u2022 Experience preparing or negotiating joint venture, operating, or stockholder agreements. u2022 Familiarity with project financing and leasing matters in a real estate context. u2022 Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills. u2022 Ability to manage multiple matters effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
