Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk Job Description The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is a hybrid position that requires a keen attention to detail for the kitting of products, proficient phone etiquette, handling of parts, delivering vehicles to subcontractors, utilization of the purchase order module in accounting software, and janitorial duties. This role demands the ability to coordinate and track shipments of incoming and outgoing parts while ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with established procedures. Responsibilities + Pull parts for builds prior to scheduled start dates. + Check calendar daily to determine jobs scheduled for the following day. + Track shipments of incoming and outgoing parts, ensuring timely deliveries. + Inventory and properly receive incoming parts using SAGE accounting software. + Unload and stock incoming products in the appropriate location. + Package outgoing parts for shipment according to schedule. + Replace or repair defective merchandise and manage returns to vendors. + Complete Return Material Authorization Forms and obtain manufacturer authorization. + Distribute messages received via phone and check in vehicles as required. + Prepare parts for kitting and manage drop-offs. Essential Skills + Experience using power tools and hand tools. + Ability to read blueprints and perform mechanical assembly. + Proficiency in electrical assembly and automotive rebuilds. + Warehouse experience of at least 6 months. + Valid driver's license. + Comfortable with change, adaptable and flexible. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Microsoft Office Software and Outlook. + Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. + Forklift driving skills. + Capability to work overtime during busy seasons. + Experience in interfacing with clients and maintaining a presentable demeanor. Work Environment The work environment combines the expertise of four leading emergency vehicle upfitters in the Western United States, specializing in custom outfitting for various vehicles. The team is small and close-knit, currently consisting of 15 members. Employees will interface with clients, mainly police officers, and must maintain a presentable appearance. The regular shift is from 7 am to 4 pm, with a possible switch to a 5 am start. Flexibility is required, with overtime expected during the busy season from November to June, where working 50+ hours and some Saturdays is anticipated. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PHOENIX, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
