What Strategic Sourcing - Global Products contributes to Cardinal HealthGlobal Sourcing is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers and patients. Develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive advantage is created through supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation.Strategic Sourcing Global Products is responsible for managing a portfolio of Cardinal Brand products, raw materials, spend and suppliers. Development and execution of global sourcing strategies to achieve best total value, sustainable productivity and high levels of quality and service aligned with business objectives.Location: The ideal candidate will reside within a reasonable commuting distance of one of our office locations: Dublin, OH; Waukegan, IL; Mansfield, MA; or El Paso, TX.Schedule: Hybrid. 2x a week in office.Job SummaryThe Manager, Strategic Sourcing Global Products is an individual contributor that participates in the development of the strategic sourcing strategy as well as execution of the sourcing process, and all of its associated activities. This job manages the global supplier portfolio and ensures that suppliers are able to provide strategic and tactical activities for Cardinal Health’s long-term plans. The job looks cross-functionally to ensure that supply chain and financial goals are met.ResponsibilitiesManage a significant portfolio of suppliers supporting films and flexible materials for the Medical manufacturing network.Develops effective short and long-term category strategies to include supply chain continuity, risk management, optimizing supplier network and attaining best cost.Collaborate with and influence business partners in a highly matrixed environment to optimize key supplier performance and innovation.
