Amergis Staffing is currently seeking ASL Sign Language Interpreters for the 2025/2026 school year in the Escondido, CA area. The Educational Sign Language Interpreter is a trained professional who facilities communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and others within an educational setting. Often, American Sign Language (ASL) is used to interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa, which ensures students have accommodations to classroom instruction, activities and learning discussions. Position Details: Pay: $35 / Hr. Schedule: Monday u2013 Friday Hours/Week: 30 Hours Weekly Start Date: April 2026 Length: 2025/2026 School Year Settings: 8:00am-2:40pm schedule, grades K-8, assigned up to 2 school sites Minimum Requirements: + Proficiency in American Sign Language + Associates degree or Bachelors degree in interpreting, deaf studies or related field, preferred + State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate (as applicable) + Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certificate (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement) + Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification ( as applicable per state regulation or client requirement) + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age Amergis Advantages Weekly pay through direct deposit We have offices in most major cities across the country Premium pay rates with tax advantage compensation Health/Dental/Vision Insurance available on 1st of month Weekly pay through direct deposit Fully furnished, private housing available (pets are welcomed) Expense reimbursement for travel and state licensure available Accessible via office phone, email, or text Emergency, On-call line, available 24/7 Feel free to contact me if you are interested.
