Job Description This Electrical Engineer will be a hands on technical contributor supporting a high volume industrial bakery operation. This role is focused on electrical troubleshooting, controls modernization, and day to day maintenance support for production equipment. The engineer will work closely with production, mechanical technicians, and facilities to maintain uptime, troubleshoot issues, and help upgrade aging controls and systems to modern standards. This is not a desk engineering role. The right candidate is comfortable walking the floor, diagnosing issues in real time, and rebuilding or upgrading control systems as needed. ________________________________________ Team Structure u2022u2003Small maintenance team consisting of approximately 3.5 technicians ou20033 full time technicians ou20031 part time technician u2022u2003Mechanics handle some electrical troubleshooting u2022u2003Electrical Engineer serves as the primary electrical and controls expert ________________________________________ Day to Day Responsibilities u2022u2003Perform daily maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment u2022u2003Walk the production floor to proactively identify issues or aging components u2022u2003Coordinate maintenance activities with production, mechanical, and electrical teams u2022u2003Diagnose electrical, controls, and motor issues and determine corrective actions u2022u2003Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks based on production needs ________________________________________ Electrical and Controls Responsibilities u2022u2003Troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade: ou2003Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) ou2003PLC systems and control logic ou2003Relays, connectors, motor starters, and motor drives u2022u2003Analyze equipment performance and replace failing components proactively u2022u2003Rebuild and modernize control systems to current standards u2022u2003Interpret electrical schematics and control drawings u2022u2003Program, diagnose, and modify PLCs as needed ________________________________________ Production Equipment Supported u2022u2003Dough production and processing systems u2022u2003Donut forming and cutting equipment utilizing PLCs and sensors u2022u2003Proofer systems controlling temperature and humidity ou2003Blowers, motors, conveyors u2022u2003Fryer systems ou2003Temperature sensors ou2003Burners ou2003Fresh air makeup systems ou2003Motors and conveyors u2022u2003Spiral and cooling conveyor systems utilizing relays and VFDs u2022u2003Depositors and pneumatic control systems u2022u2003Ovens ou2003Baxter rack ovens u2022u2003Conveyor systems throughout the production line ________________________________________ Facilities and HVAC Exposure u2022u2003Support basic HVAC maintenance tasks, including: ou2003Changing blower motors, belts, and filters ou2003Cleaning condenser coils u2022u2003Work around 10 ton rooftop HVAC units u2022u2003Maintain hot water heaters and other low tech facility systems u2022u2003No HVAC certification required u2022u2003Ideal candidate has prior exposure to HVAC systems, controls, burners, and PLC driven equipment We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
