Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the operational efficiency of our physical plant's equipment. The successful candidate will lead the activities of the maintenance department during the assigned shift and coordinate maintenance tasks with production team leads. Initially, the role will involve training on the 1st shift for 2-3 weeks before transitioning to the 3rd shift. Responsibilities + Direct all activities of maintenance department personnel for the assigned shift. + Coordinate maintenance activities with production team leads. + Act as a vital bridge between the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Technicians. + Ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently, reducing downtime. + Maintain a high standard of appearance and functionality for the property. + Inspect sites and potentially lead hands-on repairs. + Be on-call to respond to emergency situations outside of regular business hours. + Lead the activities of the maintenance department for the assigned shift. + Coordinate maintenance and engineering efforts with headquarters and other plants. + Manage the plantu2019s spare parts. + Participate in the Process Safety Management program. + Coordinate with outside vendors for the maintenance and repair of plant equipment. + Coordinate the corrective and preventive maintenance programs. + Maintain the electrical safety program for the plant. + Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, or replace components. + Perform mechanical troubleshooting using a systematic process to identify root cause issues. + Utilize drawings and diagrams (electrical, piping, PID loops) to identify failed components and speed up repairs. + Perform lockout/tagout procedures per company policy. + Understand general safety protocols relating to mechanical operations. + Read, refine, and develop preventive maintenance and other maintenance-related documents. + Demonstrate a commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments. + Promote a culture of safety. Essential Skills + Troubleshooting skills. + Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills. + Maintenance supervision abilities. + Blueprint reading capabilities. + Leadership abilities. + Five or more years of experience in an industrial environment as a maintenance supervisor. + Knowledge and experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. + Experience in the electrical field with voltages from 24V to 480V. + Ability to utilize drawings and diagrams to identify failed components and speed up repairs. + Preventive Maintenance experience with industrial equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with routine maintenance on overhead cranes preferred. + Ability to pass a Mobile Equipment test. + Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. + Capability to climb ladders, railcar platforms, and other elevated devices. + Experience with aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts. + High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or technical certifications highly preferred. Work Environment This role is based in a large manufacturing facility in Saginaw. The work environment involves hands-on tasks, inspections, and maintenance activities across the plant. The position requires adaptability to varying hours based on staffing and large maintenance projects. Expect periods of prolonged sitting for data entry and occasional physical tasks such as lifting and climbing. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Saginaw, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
