This job was posted by : For moreinformation, please see: the RoleAs a Water/Wastewater Treatment Intern, you will work closely withexperienced engineers to support the planning, design, and evaluation ofwater and wastewater treatment facilities. You will contribute totechnical analyses, reports, and design efforts while gaining exposureto treatment processes, facility operations, and multidisciplinaryproject delivery.What You'll Do:- Supporting the planning and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities, including new facilities, expansions, and rehabilitation projects- Assisting with treatment process evaluations, calculations, and system sizing- Preparing technical memoranda, engineering reports, feasibility studies, and planning documents- Assisting with development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates- Collaborating with civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical team members- Supporting high-quality, client-focused project deliveryThis internship offers valuable exposure to municipal treatment projectsand provides an excellent foundation for a long-term career in water andwastewater engineering.What You'll Need:- Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a closely related engineering discipline- Completion of an undergraduate engineering degree- Strong interest in water and/or wastewater treatment engineering- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications(not required)- Coursework or research experience related to water or wastewater treatment processes- Familiarity with engineering calculations, technical writing, or data analysis- Familiarity with treatment process modeling or design software.- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentThis hybrid job operates between an office environment and a fieldenvironment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipmentsuch as computers, phones and copy machines. May require occasionalexposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat,humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water,depending on project requirements.While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of theemployee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing,and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching,handling, grasping, and feeling.
