Description: You will be the Circuit Design Engineer Senior for the Laser Weapon System (LWS) Turret Control team. Our team develops the high precision control circuit assemblies that drive the turret closing motor loops for next generation directed energy weapons, ensuring reliable, rapid target acquisition and engagement. What You Will Be Doing As the Circuit Design Engineer Senior you will own the end to end development of the control circuit hardwareu2014from initial concept through detailed design, simulation, verification, fabrication support and system integration. You will work closely with servo specialists, subject matter experts, mechanical packaging engineers and external vendors to deliver a robust, high performance, producible CCA that meets stringent laser weapon requirements. Your responsibilities will include: u2022 Own the full product lifecycle for control circuit assemblies (CCA) u2022 Develop detailed schematics and PCB layouts using industry standard tools. u2022 Create comprehensive verification plans, to confirm that the CCA meets all electrical, timing, and safety requirements. u2022 Work closely with servo system specialists and subject matter experts to define control algorithms, feedback loops, and interface requirements u2022 Collaborate with mechanical and packaging engineers to resolve board level constraints. u2022 Liaise with external silicon and PCB vendors, providing clear design files, bill of materials (BOM), and manufacturing instructions; support prototype fabrication, assembly, and yield analysis activities. u2022 Generate and maintain complete design documentation. A Secret clearance with investigation or CV date within 5 years is required to start. Basic Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field + Relevant circuitu2011card design experience (schematic capture and PCB layout) + Ability to perform analog and mixedu2011signal circuit analysis and simulation Desired Skills: + Update design requirements and coordinate servo requirements + Update schematics incorporating servo and SME feedback + Perform power, stability, ADC/DAC accuracy, electricalu2011stress, and signalu2011quality analyses + Conduct EE implementation and packaging implementation reviews + Complete layout & routing (constraints, stacku2011up, EPCAD support) + Support packaging prerelease review and DVT/testu2011plan creation + Assist CCA fabrication (PWB vendor coordination, component procurement, CCA population) + Conduct initial testing (inspection, bench test, DVT, integration support) + Proficiency with MentorGraphics, Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or comparable tools + Strong background in analog/mixedu2011signal design, power electronics, and controlu2011loop theory + Experience with SPICEu2011based simulation and signalu2011integrity analysis tools + Familiarity with ADC/DAC selection, voltageu2011level translation, and EMI/EMC mitigation techniques + Prior work on laser or directedu2011energy weapon systems or highu2011energy electromagnetic applications + Knowledge of military standards and qualification processes + Experience with vendor management, lowu2011volume highu2011reliability PWB fabrication, and component sourcing + Familiarity with systemu2011integration testing and hardwareu2011inu2011theu2011loop (HIL) simulation environments Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
