Department Student Accessibility Services Local Title Graduate Assistant Budget Title Graduate Assistant 10 Months Rank/Grade T8 Line Number 90071 Salary Range $3750 FTE Part-Time Negotiating Unit GSEU FLSA Exempt Department Website Brief Job Description This position comes with a tuition scholarship that will cover up to 9 credits of tuition per semester at the in-state rate. + Facilitate individualized support meetings for participating students with the guidance of the Learning and Accommodations Specialist (70%) + Facilitate events focused on students with disabilities, including Student Empowerment Day and the Delta Alpha Pi Internal Honor Society Initiation (10%) + Assist in the creation of new objectives of the Continual Support Program (when applicable) (5%) + Learn about all aspects of disability service and office functions (15%) Required Qualifications Current or entering full-time (6 credit hours) matriculated graduate student at Buffalo State University. Preferred Qualifications + Higher Education Administration, Education (all) or related fields preferred but not required. We urge any graduate students to apply. Applicants capable of working two years with us is preferred. + Ability to work independently, with high attention to detail, and under minimal supervision. + Ability to communicate and problem-solve with positive results. + Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of students. + Availability during hours of operation required (8:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday). + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) + Working knowledge of student management systems or the desire to learn.
