Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Data Scientist in the Detroit, Michigan area. Responsible for translating business requirements into analytical constructs and using data to propose solutions for effective decision making. Collects, validates, transforms, and cleanses data, as well as performs quantitative analysis to derive insights. Runs analytical experiments in a methodical manner and regularly evaluates alternative models and techniques. Develops predictive models to forecast business performance metrics and provides recommendations for strategic decisions. Compensation: $40/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: Skills and Requirements • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science OR 3 years of experience working in a data analytical or computer programming function • Strong experience performing advanced data analyses, including cost-benefit analysis, data bricks, forecasting, predictive modeling, what-if analysis, and impact analysis to support business decision-making • Hands-on experience working with large and complex (Big Data) datasets - SAP, SQL (DB Visualizer), Maximo • Hands on experience building Power BI dashboards • Develops, modifies, and automates reports, builds and prototypes dashboards to provide insights, and provides analytical solutions • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, perform end-to-end analyses, and deliver scalable analytical solutions • Strong communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present analytical insights through clear, compelling stories and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences
