Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day payment operations for a busy client. This Long-term contract to hire position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial data, and confident managing invoice activity in a structured environment. The person in this role will help maintain accurate records, support vendor setup and account verification, and ensure expenses are assigned correctly across general ledger codes and cost centers. Responsibilities: u2022 Review incoming invoices for completeness, accuracy, and proper account coding before processing u2022 Assign charges to the correct general ledger accounts and cost centers in alignment with established procedures u2022 Enter and process accounts payable transactions within the companyu2019s financial system with a high level of accuracy u2022 Investigate vendor account discrepancies and work through payment-related issues to resolution u2022 Support petty cash distribution and maintain clear documentation for all related transactions u2022 Create new vendor records as needed and maintain up-to-date supplier information u2022 Coordinate purchase order-related activities in accordance with internal policy requirements u2022 Assist with check runs and other payment processing tasks while meeting required timelines Requirements u2022 High school diploma or equivalent u2022 At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or a related accounting support function u2022 Strong data entry skills, including accurate typing and 10-key proficiency u2022 Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reviewing, organizing, and analyzing financial information u2022 Demonstrated analytical ability with experience researching discrepancies and resolving transaction issues u2022 Familiarity with accounts payable practices such as invoice coding, check processing, and vendor maintenance u2022 Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook u2022 Billing experience and the ability to start within two weeks of offer acceptance are preferred Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
