Job Summary and Qualifications The Mental Health Technician functions as a member of the treatment team and accepts responsibilities for specifically assigned duties, such as patient observation rounds, suicide risk observation and assisting with behavior modification programs. If that is you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today + Maintains a safe environment and appropriate boundaries with patients and staff + Must be able to work on any unit there is a need as deemed necessary by supervisor + Documentation of patientu2019s well-being and location every 15 minutes or more frequently based on the patientu2019s condition + Ability to provide activities, groups and able to document the patientu2019s participation in treatment activities + Displays respect for patientu2019s integrity, patient information and patient rights Qualifications + High school diploma or GED preferred + Prefer either a bacheloru2019s degree or an associate degree + Prefer at least one year of experience in the behavioral health field or healthcare setting OR + One year of experience involving public contact which may have included providing care or guidance for children, elders or others; volunteer work in providing respite to caregivers; or leading youth groups + Must exhibit quality communication skills with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions + CPR certification within 30 days of hire + CPI certification within 30 days of hire Southern Hills Hospital (is a 260+ bed acute care hospital.
